Dog Grooming Bandanas
Starting dog grooming business?
So since I cannot find a job anywhere (teenager) my mom suggested maybe doing a dog grooming business at home.
I was considered getting tethers for our bathtub to hold them in place, buying some muzzles for grooming to prevent accidents, getting “vet” loop leashes to walk them, buying bows/ribbons/bandanas to make them look nice after wards, etc. I could clip nails, bathe, learn how to trim dogs and get a book about cuts and learn up on them, etc.
Do you think this would work? I’m not so sure I would let my dog go to someone’s house that isn’t a professional to get this done but if it was cheaper and I could look around I would probably let her stay.
What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
Nay, sorry. Grooming is not something you can just pick up by yourself or reading a book or site. There is a lot more that goes into grooming & knowing how to handle animals & the equipment besides knowing the correct clips & having cutesy bows. Maybe start out by doing baths & nail trims on short haired dogs. It is also quite expensive to get the proper equipment for grooming – just a few of the plain basics – $500+ easily. You might could get a job bathing & cleaning at a grooming shop if you want to learn grooming.
Add: Another groomer friend did $5 nail trims at her garage sale for extra money maybe you could start with doing nails first for money.
