Dog Grooming Slicker
what are certain dog grooming devices for?
i would like to know what the following dog grooming devices are for and how to use them :
-shedding blade
-stripper knife
-mat remover (i know what it is but im not sure how to use it properly)
-slicker brush
stripping stone

and could you include what type of brush would be best for dog with very high maintenance coats (such as Yorkies and Maltese)? i would also like to know how to maintain a high maintenance coat 
Shedding blade looks similar to a sawtooth blade & helps remove coat on short haired dogs mostly.
stripper knife is used to help hand strip a coat like on terriers like westies, scotties, wire fox etc.
Mat splitter(not remover) is long razor type blades that help split mats & can be dangerous unless you know how to use properly.
slicker brush is common metal bristle brush for brushing long haired breeds.
stripping stone is another tool for hand stripping a coat.
The only tool you listed that would be correct for the breeds above would be slicker brush. I don’t suggest mat splitter to owners having seen them cut dogs time & time again since the owners don’t know how to use & better to keep dog’s coat in good shape so it isn’t necessary.
